Love Me, Don't Sit on Me
Filmmakers Kendall Bruns & Josh Flowers Premiere New Work
Cincinnati, OH – November 23, 2005 – The Cincinnati Film Society
presents the world premiere of “Love Me, Don’t Sit on Me”
by Cincinnati artists, Kendall Bruns and Josh Flowers, on December 9, 2005.
The screening will take place at the MainStreet Cinema in the Tangeman Center
on the University of Cincinnati Clifton campus at 8:30pm.
“Love Me, Don't Sit on Me” is a surreal romantic comedy starring furniture and a supporting cast of local actors, artists and musicians. The short film will be presented along with other recent works by the filmmakers, including the award winning “Exploded”, created as part of this year's 48 Hour Film Project.
In the film, “Love Me, Don’t Sit on Me”, a love story is told from the furniture’s perspective. Bruns explains, “It’s a way to talk about something that can easily come across as trite or simplistic from an unexpected viewpoint. Also, it’s funny.”
The film also explores the human to furniture relationship. “It’s time the furniture had a voice,” says Flowers, “Now when movies are digitally creating entire sets with a little green screen, it’s time for someone to stand up for chairs instead of just sitting on them.”
Bruns, Flowers and members of the cast will be in attendance at the screening.
The running
time for “Love Me, Don’t Sit on Me” is 22 minutes.
Total running time for the entire presentation on December 9th is 72 minutes.
Unrated.
Tickets are available at the door (cash only): $6 for the general public and
